Minnesota Association of Professional Employees Endorses
Jamie Becker-Finn for State Representative in District 42B
Becker-Finn will fight for workers and families in Ramsey County suburbs

The Minnesota Association of Professional Employees (MAPE) has endorsed DFL candidate Jamie Becker-Finn to represent voters in House District 42B. As an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney, early childhood education advocate and environmentalist, MAPE believes Jamie Becker-Finn has the qualifications and experience to be a strong voice for workers and families throughout Vadnais Heights, Little Canada, Gem Lake and portions of Roseville and Shoreview.

Becker-Finn is running to replace State Representative Jason “Ike” Isaacson who is running to replace retiring State Senator Bev Scalze.

Becker-Finn currently is an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney at the Domestic Abuse Service Center. Previously, she worked as a law clerk in Hennepin District Court and a legislative assistant for the Minnesota House Tax Committee.

“Jamie works every day with victims, advocates and law enforcement to hold abusers accountable. Although this work is very difficult, she has proven she can bring diverse groups together to seek justice for victims,” said MAPE Public Affairs and Communications Director Richard Kolodziejski. “She is a fellow union member who will fight for good jobs with fair pay and family-friendly leave policies for all Minnesotans. MAPE is proud to endorse Jamie Becker-Finn’s candidacy for House District 42B Representative.”

Becker-Finn and her husband Gabe and their two young children live in Roseville. Education issues are especially important to her and she said she plans to focus on pre-K as well as “the burden placed on young adults and their families by the excessive amount of student debt that is now required to obtain a higher education.”

Becker-Finn grew up on the Leech Lake Reservation and vows to work to protect Minnesota’s natural resources for future generations. She currently serves on the Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission.
